The Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation uses Type 2-S Galvanized Steel Guard Rail System. Typically called highway guardrails, this is the most frequently used type of guide rail on our nation’s roadway system. It is a roll-formed product that is shaped out of steel coil into the shape of a “W,” and typically galvanized to prevent corrosion and increase the product’s life-cycle. W-Beam Guide Rail can be installed on steel strong posts or weak posts, using a variety of different post spacing options depending on the specific situation (typically 6′ 3″ spacing).

Pendot uses Type 2 Galvanized Guide Rails mounted to walls. These are used to prevent cars from damaging structures of a building.

Concrete car bumper blocks are attached to asphalt parking lots. This protects structures and vehicles from vehicular impact. Concrete car bumper blocks are manufactured with high strength steel and reinforced concrete. These are used for residential and commercial applications. Their sloped design maximizes durability and safety, and protects vehicular wheels.

ADJUSTABLE SLIP-ON PIPE FITTINGS AKA SPEED RAIL FITTINGS.

Slip-on Pipe Fittings are simple & economical to use. Simply cut pipe to length, insert fitting, and tighten set screws with an allen wrench. Besides guard rails, booths,  and worktables, any type of structure can be fabricated with Slip-On Pipe Fittings. These do not require pipes to be bent or threaded, and they can be fitted for practically any angle. In stock fittings 1 5/8" O.D (1 1/4" I.D.) Other sizes are available as a special order. In stock 1 5/8" O.D. pipe can be cut to your measurements. Fittings shown in the picture Prices range from $12 to to $44.
